D-Day (June 6, 1944) and Nov 8, 2016
I have been to Normandy Beach twice and will never forget the perspective I gained regarding the magnitude and importance of the D-Day invasion. The 2016 Presidential election could have equally important consequences. The successful D-Day invasion saved the world from a fascist dictator. The 2016 election could produce one.
It is theorized by many advanced scholars that a Trump White House would take America into a catastrophic plunge that would have devastating consequences for the U.S. citizenry as well as detrimental effects worldwide. Mr. Trump has already been tagged as a pariah by foreign heads-of-state. His authoritarian leadership style reveals a bully personality which could be a precursor to a fascist-like state.
His election would certainly send stock markets plunging as worldwide economic instability would be a fall-out of his Presidency. Trumps penchant for volatility and revenge might result in an ill-advised invasion of the Middle East. His phony tough guy persona would alienate most foreign leaders as they fear his threats of using nuclear weapons to settle disputes. He is clearly a pathological liar and the U.S. would lose its credibility and respect in many categories.
He has a history of his companies seeking bankruptcy. He also has a history of not paying his workers, contractors and vendors. His Xenophobia, particular his harsh statements of Mexicans and Muslims, is contrary to American values. All of the white –supremacist groups in America support him fully. His misogyny is well documented by many women and he has admitted to being a sexual predator
How sad it would be if the United States electorate would select a person to be President who is a disgrace to mankind. If he was to be elected and America suffers immeasurably there will be a lot of questions to answer. Sons, daughters, and grandchildren will ask their elders, “What did you do to try and prevent Donald Trump from being President?”
